Introduction
This page explains how to remove your account from the Metric Athlete apps, listed as Metric Athlete, Metric Athlete Team and Metric Athlete for Mac, operated by Quantum Leap Technologies (Pty) Ltd.
1. Remove your account in the app
You can remove your account yourself at any time.
- Open the Metric Athlete app and sign in
- Go to your Profile
- Choose Remove Account
- Type DELETE to confirm
2. Ask us to remove it
If you can't use the app, email info@metricathlete.com from the address on your account and ask us to remove it. A team member's data is managed by their coach or organisation, so ask them first if you don't have your own login.
3. What is removed
Removing your account permanently removes your login and personal information.
- Your login
- Your name, email address, phone number, date of birth and profile photo
- Your notifications
- Names, contact details, ID numbers, dates of birth, schools, height and weight of players only you manage
- Injury descriptions and medical notes on return-to-play records
4. What is kept
Team and session statistics are kept in anonymised form, no longer tied to your name.
- Teams, sessions and performance metrics
- GPS and motion data recorded by pods
- Injury type and dates on return-to-play records, with no player name
- Details of players another coach also manages, because that coach still needs them
- Security, audit and email delivery records
5. Accounts with team members
If other people are active members of your account, remove them first. The app will tell you if this applies.
